Forrest Junior
College was chartered by the State of South
Carolina to operate as a proprietary
educational institution. On November 5,
1992, it was issued a regular license by the
South Carolina Commission on Higher
Education to offer the Associate in Applied
Science Degree programs at 601 E. River
Street, Anderson, South Carolina.
Licensure, which is designated by the State
to provide consumer protection, should not
be confused with accreditation. The SC

Forrest
Junior College is accredited as a Junior
College by the Accrediting Council for
Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS) to
award the Associate in Science Degree and
Diplomas. ACICS is an accrediting agency
recognized by the United States Department

addition to ACICS accreditation, Forrest
Junior College has program accreditation for

at Forrest Junior College in Anderson SC is

Accreditation of Allied Health Education

) upon recommendation of the Curriculum
Review Board of the American Association of

Admissions and Tuition Information
Forrest Junior College seeks
to enroll students who have a genuine interest in furthering their
education as well as in making a significant contribution to one or more
areas of study offered by the College. Academic qualifications are
important, but as important are the personal motivation, desire and
interest of the student. Applicants are encouraged to pursue programs
that will lead to the achievement of personal satisfaction as well as
occupational, career, and financial considerations and ambitions.
The minimum requirement for
admission to the College is a high school diploma or a recognized
equivalency certificate (GED). Please call 864 225-7653 if you’d like
further information regarding admission to the College, programs of
study offered by the College, or information regarding special courses
or GED preparation.
Admissions Procedure
All applicants
to the College must:

Complete an
application for admission form and pay a non-refundable $50
application processing fee.

Provide evidence of
graduation from high school or the equivalent (GED) or sign a
statement attesting to the fact of having graduated or attained
the equivalent.

Submit official
transcripts from all previously attended post-secondary
institutions.
-
Take a Forrest
Junior College preliminary evaluation.
-
Complete a personal
interview with an official of the College.
-
Make acceptable
arrangements for paying college tuition, fees and other
necessary expenses.
Mid-Term Admission
Applicants seeking admission
may begin classes at least twice in any given quarter. They may begin at
the start of the quarter and/or at mid-point in the quarter (known as
mid-term start), approximately six weeks after the quarter’s regular
start. There are eight possible start dates in any academic year. In
addition, other classes for non-credit and/or for continuing education
are scheduled on a regular and on-going basis. Schedules and other
information regarding the start and end dates of classes are available
at the Receptionist’s Desk.
